Prominent has been working with award-winning Suffolk construction company Seamans Building since March 2022.
Despite winning a host of building industry accolades, the company, based in Thurston near Bury St Edmunds, often felt it didn’t get the exposure it deserved.
Prominent were tasked with increasing the visibility of its brand and to publicise the amazing work they do.
This included improving the company’s social media presence, updating and writing new copy and blogs for its website and putting together press releases about the projects it has completed.
Seamans has such a wealth of fascinating projects, from constructing state-of-the-art education facilities to restoring historic buildings, we knew there was huge potential for strong publicity.
Among the early coverage secured was a double-page feature in the Bury Free Press about the ten-year anniversary of the Cupola House fire in Bury St Edmunds.
Seamans’ engineers were there on the night of the blaze, helping to secure the building while firefighters bravely fought the flames.
The company were then tasked with restoring the building to its former glory.
The Bury free Press feature gave an inside look at how the historic building rose from the ashes, accompanied by incredible photos of the project before and after.
Prominent has written blogs for the Seamans website, including a fascinating piece on new carpentry apprentice Erin Keer, a blog on the company’s pledge to encourage more young people into the sector and a piece on Seaman’s triple win at the SJCC Awards.
Work on social media has included setting up LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram accounts, posting interesting and engaging content regularly and creating bespoke graphics to help their brand shine.
To give people a look at some of the amazing projects Seamans has worked on, Prominent has written up case studies with insight into host of Seamans’ builds.
This has included the restoration of the Tide Mill in Woodbridge, the refurbishment of Grade II listed Grove Park in Yoxford and the construction of the eye-catching Balancing Barn in Thorington.
Mark Reason, Pre-Construction Director at Seamans, said:
"As a business we had struggled to find a PR partner who understood what we wanted to say, and not being specialists in this field, we could never find the right words ourselves. That changed when we met Prominent and in the 2.5 years that followed, we saw a noticeable increase in our online presence and received several compliments about the content that was being posted. We are grateful to the Prominent team for their diligent work in supporting this important aspect of our business."
