Combat2Coffee

Prominent are proud to have been supporting veteran-run social enterprise Combat2Coffee since the summer of 2023.

The multi-award-winning social enterprise was founded by Royal Anglian veteran Nigel Seaman, who is on a mission to support armed forces personnel and their families with their mental health through the medium of coffee.

We support Combat2Coffee through our media relations, copywriting and social media services and are helping raise awareness of its work beyond Suffolk’s borders.

Our services were kindly recommended to Nigel by a former Prominent client – and by the end of our first meeting we had fallen in love with Nigel’s business and the incredible impact it is having on the armed forces community.

Our ultimate aim is to increase the number of businesses partnering with Combat2Coffee, allowing it to further expand its veteran outreach services and ensure every hero and their family have access to the support they need.

Media coverage

Prominent have secured significant amounts of media coverage within a short time working with Combat2Coffee.

That has included numerous stories and features in the local press and magazines, as well as those in the national coffee and hospitality sectors.

Those stories have seen us link up with the press and marketing teams at Ipswich Town Football Club and HOAX through the successful Medals2Matches remembrance scheme, as well as fellow client Suffolk Mind for the I’ve Bean Better campaign.

Client Services Manager, Grace Harrison, even accompanied Nigel to 10 Downing Street for a veterans’ reception with local MP Tom Hunt and Veterans Affairs Minister Johnny Mercer.

Other coverage secured includes local broadcast outlets such as BBC Radio Suffolk, Heart and Greatest Hits Radio.

Social media

Our creative team have delivered significant growth across Combat2Coffee’s social media platforms by capturing Nigel and the team’s work in the local community.

That includes increasing followers on LinkedIn by more than 300 in our first four months – a key platform for reaching new business partners – alongside a 680% increase in interactions and 300% rise in reposts.

We have seen similar successes on Facebook, Instagram and X (Twitter) – with an increase in followers, shares and interactions across the board.
