The market for legal services is increasingly competitive and to stand out it is imperative for a firm to deliver its unique proposition as succinctly and eloquently as possible.
That’s where we come in.
We understand that today’s media landscape can be complicated to negotiate. But the law firms getting the most attention are the ones focusing on their external reputation. And more often than not, they are outsourcing this to PR firms like ours.
We have helped solicitors stand out in the crowded market by building credibility. We have helped firms expand into a new practice area, raised the profile of new partners or a team of associates ready for a succession and celebrated stories of success.
We have worked with firms of all sizes and across different areas of law.
Members of our team worked on the entire rebrand of the UK’s most recognisable consumer law brand after a host of acquisitions, for example. This involved creating concise, compelling copy for the website on personal injury, medical negligence, employment, family, property and defence law that removed confusing legal jargon. It also involved writing 900 profiles of staff members to make them more approachable.
For seven years we managed a full PR and marketing service for the national Will Aid campaign, working with over a thousand law firms across the UK.
On a more local basis we supported one law firm with award entry writing, media relations, press office management and social media as they went through a period of rapid growth. Similarly, we worked with an Ipswich based firm for over a year as they went through a restructure, supporting them with internal communications, media relations, website content and social media.
Peter de Vena Franks, Campaign Director at Will Aid said:
"We’ve consistently had a great experience working with Lauren and the team at Prominent. They are always on hand to support our needs, creative in their approach and adaptable – especially important last year during the pandemic as our plans changed day by day!"
Laura Harrington - Rutterford, partner at Attwells Solicitors said:
“Prominent deliver an exceptional service and have transformed our internal and external communications. They have helped us win awards and win clients. We are extremely pleased with the impact their work has had on raising our profile in the local community and beyond. They have helped us build our business in a cost-effective manner.”
In addition, our copywriting team have assisted many solicitors with the content for their Legal 500 and Chambers entries.
We realise that law firm partners are ideally placed to provide business journalists with insight and comment and with our connections and contacts across the press, we can provide you with these golden opportunities to reach new audiences.
If time is precious however, our writers are trained in media law so we can also expertly ghost-write features and articles for a range of publications – making sure your time is spent on your fee-earning work while you are simultaneously making an impact in business development.
We know there’s a heightened awareness in the legal industry about what reputation really means and how it can impact your business, both negatively and positively.
And it would be foolish to ignore the fact that, occasionally, the legal profession comes under fire.
We have all seen negative press coverage of firms - ill-advised emails going viral, allegations of financial mishandling and professional negligence lawsuits.
But working with us means 24/7 access to our crisis communications team who are on hand to handle any story that risks damaging your reputation.
