Prominent shortlisted for four industry awards

The Prominent team are thrilled to share we have been shortlisted for an incredible four awards at the local PR industry’s biggest annual ceremony.

Our work with multi-award-winning social enterprise Hey Girls and the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich has seen us named among the finalists at this year’s CIPR PRide Awards.

Meanwhile, our communications and creative star, Keira Pearson, is continuing her incredible year by being shortlisted for Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year.

Hey Girls

This has been an incredibly exciting 12 months for all those involved at Hey Girls, who surpassed their 30 million period product donations milestone this year in their fight to end period poverty in the UK.

Our campaign to celebrate that achievement, “Hey 30 Million”, has seen us shortlisted in the Healthcare/Wellbeing Campaign category, while our overall work has placed us among the Corporate and Business Communications Campaign finalists.

In just over 12 months we have seen amazing successes, including a feature in the Daily Mirror, a significant rise in the number of corporate partners – and, most importantly, millions of products donated to people in need.

All of us at Prominent are fully behind their mission and have loved every minute of our work with them.

Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich

We have worked with the Diocese for five years, initially providing crisis communications support before we took on a full press office service – including positive PR support.

That work has seen us share the amazing stories of those involved in the church, securing coverage across the local media landscape alongside features on BBC Songs of Praise and BBC Radio 1.

Overall, we’ve received around 150 positive pieces of coverage in the last two years – demonstrating the strong relationships we’ve built with both the Diocese and the press.

The Diocese team also know they can rely on us in times of crisis thanks to our extensive crisis communications experience.

Here’s to another five years!

Keira’s in the spotlight

No-one says outstanding like Keira. This has been an amazing year for her, which has seen her rise through the ranks to Account Manager and deliver incredible results for her clients.

Our success with Hey Girls is testament to her hard work, with Keira becoming a real jack of all trades during her time with us.

That includes taking control of our creative services, producing high-quality video and design content for our clients that pack a punch.

Celia Hodson, Founder of Hey Girls:

“Keira has been the senior account manager for Hey Girls UK since we welcomed Prominent PR onboard in early 2022 as our PR Agency. She has been incredibly organised, accommodating and understands how to recognise her teams’ strengths to capitalize on the opportunities she has found for us. Her attention to detail and forward-thinking strategy has been helpful to build our companies brand presence. Identifying areas we should focus on and her ability to go the extra mile has led to a successful PR relationship that we look forward to building on.”

We are unbelievably proud of Keira and recognise how lucky we are to have her in the team.

Ready for our big night out

The winners will be announced at a gala evening at The Clayton Hotel in Cambridge on September 28.
