Keira joined Prominent in June 2020 but has had a long relationship with the team, first completing work experience with us in August 2018.
Her role includes managing the social media accounts and maintaining the websites of a number of our clients, writing press releases and blogs, managing choc-a-block diaries of events and campaign launches and working with the team on many of our B2C accounts.
She is eager to learn and ahead of the game when it comes to staying abreast of trends and breaking news – which makes her a valuable asset to the company and its clients.
She’s a dedicated, ambitious, and determined member of our office who is not phased by new challenges.
In fact, her resilience can be perfectly demonstrated by the fact that she completed her BA (Hons) Business Management degree from University of Essex while pregnant with her daughter Orla.
She went into labour on the first day of her final year but managed to write her 10,000-word dissertation on gender equality in sport while nursing a newborn – and achieved the highest grade on her course.
Sport is important to Keira – and again plays a role in that competitive spirit that is so beneficial to her in the workplace.
She boasts an OCR Level 3 National Diploma in Sport (with distinction), a Sports Leaders Award and has played hockey in a national league as well as in national indoor hockey finals. She is also a superb dancer and gymnast and, if that wasn’t enough, she is also extremely musical, with a Grade 5 in music theory and Grade 5 on the Cornet.
Keira has had a varied work life which has given her lots of useful skills.
She was a waitress at Tuddenham Fountain and at the Salthouse and Southwold Pier which has helped her understand event management as well as develop a great eye for customer service.
She has also held a position as a sports coach in schools which has allowed her to develop superb communication skills.
This was enhanced when she volunteered for eight months in South Africa as a teacher to a class of up to 18 four and five-year-olds!
Keira’s ability to connect with young people has been very useful to the agency as it has expanded into numerous contracts with clients in the education sector.
