We are thrilled to welcome an ex-news editor to the team.

We have expanded to 11 as Lauren Everitt, a former newspaper journalist, joins the team as PR executive.

Lauren has 11 years of experience as a journalist having worked at three local newspapers.

On her move Lauren said: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to use the skills I have developed in newspapers within an exciting, evolving and diverse industry like PR. The team at Prominent are vibrant and exciting and I cannot wait to become a part of the bright future they have ahead of them.”

Helen Rudd, managing director of Prominent, added: “We are thrilled to be able to welcome Lauren to the team. Our team has grown rapidly and thanks to a number of new client wins recently, we were in need of extra content support, which Lauren gives us in abundance, both in terms of copywriting and digital PR. I am sure she will be a perfect fit for the team and offer our clients the consistent high-quality support for which we are known”

Lauren started off at the Bracknell News where she qualified as a senior reporter before moving across to the Dorking and Leatherhead Advertiser in Surrey for a year.

Lauren returned home to Suffolk to the EADT and Ipswich Star in 2011 where she was originally based in the Sudbury office before relocating to the main Ipswich office.

She specialised as both a defence and health reporter and was then promoted to a content editor running the newsdesk operation on a daily basis.

Lauren spent the last 18 months at the EADT and Ipswich Star working as the digital and lifestyle editor manning the papers’ websites and social media accounts.

She has experience in using SEO, video, statistic analysis, copywriting and editing.
