Prominent team photo

Prominent PR is expanding and we are looking for a PR copywriter to come and support our busy team.

Ideally you will have a background as a journalist or a PR copywriter and will be able to support our team with a wide range of copy. Please note this is not an account manager role but a support role which will cover all copywriting requests where required.

In return, you’ll be part of a fast growing and ambitious team, will benefit from a pension scheme, generous holiday allocation and a bonus scheme.

Your working hours will be 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday (this is flexible for the right person!). You will be based primarily at the Prominent base in Felixstowe but will be required to work in-house at some of our clients’ places of work from time to time so a car is essential.

The salary will be dependent on experience.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a lively, energetic and enthusiastic candidate who has a 'can do' approach.

  • Have exceptional writing skills
  • Have a willingness to succeed, will be proactive and will take pride in their work
  • Be an ambitious player with a hard work ethic who is keen to progress their career
  • Be able to produce a wide range of high-quality written material within tight deadline
  • Have the ability to work across a number of topics and clients at the same time while understanding the different media and differing target audiences involved
  • Have good time and workload management skills - must be a strong multi-tasker.
  • Be a good team player who is willing to learn from team members and who can take constructive criticism

You’ll be expected to:

  • Write press releases to targeted media
  • Write regular blogs for all clients including knowledge of SEO
  • Research and write editorial features
  • Interview and formulate case studies for both print and online
  • Undertake copywriting for marketing collateral
